Middle School Media

The intention of this subject is to provide students with an insight into and practical hands on experience of media. Students who have an interest in Journalism, Marketing, Film and Television Productions, Sound Engineering and "bringing their dreams to life" may be attracted to join "Media Studies". 

 

The subject's goal is to help students to understand that all media is constructed and what they see at the cinema, on television, in newspapers, magazines, on the radio and Internet, are not representations of reality but "re-presentations of reality". Throughout this course students should become equipped with the skills to discern the truth from the representation of reality that they encounter everyday through various forms of media.
