Discovering quality teaching attributes
This week our task was to bring four to five categories of a quality lesson or quality teaching to share and refine. This was a lot harder than I first thought as there are so many out there that make a quality teacher to refine it seems impossible.
I really do feel that whatever framework we develop should be based on the AITSL framework which is a really good base to relate these ideas to.
Our discussion today was again confusing and unclear but productive by the end of the conversation. Blair brought his categories which were good. I suggested that we relate them back to the professional standards of teachers. We then just talked in circles a bit Blair was really good at refocusing and stating the fact that the professional standards for teachers are not simple enough to really use effectively but yes relate back would be good to do so.
We did discuss the PD that Scott is going to go to and how this really suits our purpose and would be a great thing to wait and see what he can bring back to the group.
